Real-time
Monitoring
Realtime-Spy can be configured to transmit user activities and
keystrokes in real-time as they occur.
Setting up Real-time Monitoring
To start real-time monitoring you will first need to create a
logging module with the real-time monitoring options enabled. Once
that module is deployed and running on a computer, login to your
Realtime-Spy webspace and click on 'Real-time Monitoring'. From
there, click on the 'Auto-detect
my current IP and submit it' link.
Note: If you are monitoring another computer
on your own network enter your internal network IP address and
click 'Submit the above IP' instead of using the Auto-detect function.
Once you have your IP set properly, go back to the 'Real-time
Monitoring' page and click on 'Open Real-time Viewer'. This will
allow you to view user activities as they occur, in real-time.
Troubleshooting
If you do not receive updates after setting your IP and opening
the viewer make sure of the following:
- The remote computers are online and active.
- The remote computers
are configured with real-time monitoring enabled.
- If you are behind a router and the remote computer
is outside your network you will need to enable port
forwarding/routing to direct all traffic on port 7889
to your internal IP.
- The remote computers allow outgoing traffic on port
7889
